Wild About Trees

The day kicked off with a talk from Anthony Brandreth entitled ‘Treemendous’ Trees. A journey through our biggest plants – our relationship with them and how we manage them. Anthony is a Tree specialist, ecologist, and passionate nature conservationist, an experienced educator and captivating speaker on a wide variety of natural history topics.
Evidenced by the question and answer session, a full house of very interested WASH supporters enjoyed a fascinating talk.
Andrew stayed with us all afternoon to lead and support numerous, family-friendly activities:

- Guided walk taking in the facts, mythology and folklore of trees
- Decorated leaf display by Stockton Heath school children
- Seed-swap
